Hello! I am a sixth grade Language Arts teacher, at Stonington Middle School, Connecticut, USA. I found Tess as I was in the process of writing a grant proposal for a Fund For Teachers fellowship. I was especially impressed by Tess' two podcasts "$5,000.00 for Teachers! Fund for Teachers Chief of Staff Stephanie Ascherl is interviewed" and the follow up "Audience Questions Fund for Teachers. Education Funding and Support." After viewing these, I contacted Tess for her assistance in editing my Fund For Teachers proposal. I started with what I felt was a good draft but working with Tess transformed my view of my work. Tess was very helpful with cutting out redundant sections, making stronger connections to my students and classroom, and suggesting where I could better explain my ideas. Tess was easy to work with, very supportive, and inspirational. As a teacher, former Fund For Teachers fellow, and editor, Tess was the perfect person to review my writing. I also suggest checking out Tess' other podcasts on the writing process, love of literature, inspirational travel, and thoughts for the New Year.
